The large variety in design; from intricate architectural concepts, to final decor and finishing details, is what attracted me to complete my Bachelor of Applied Arts, Interior Design. I currently work on a multitude of different projects and stories at House & Home Magazine where I’m a design editor.
My design style is eclectic, I love mixing opposites such as modern with traditional, clean and simple with ornate and intricate. I feel that a room lacking tension lacks interest. Every space should have character and reflect a concept greater than that of simply being.
Space and what we do with it, manifests other realities from user emotion, experience and perception, to function, movement and organization. These realities affect us all, daily. In scales as small as a residential living room, to how entire buildings function, to the urban planning of a city, we create spaces everywhere, using design to do so. This is my passion.
